Handmade Albums from Australia

The albums we source are from Melbourne, Australia and have 'Library Bound' spines. This allows the leaves in each album to lay flat regardless of where the book is opened or how large the album is. This same binding style prevents lateral movement between pages which is the main cause of scratching and scuffing of page surfaces and print surfaces.

Type 1 - Matrix Albums

A contemporary page style offering a clean and modern look. All apertures are bevel cut which provide a delicate contrasting colour to the page colour chosen.

All Matrix albums are presented with non-padded covers. Leaves are library bound providing strength and stability for the life of the album.

Albums have a 'frameless' page presentation that is clean, crisp and uncluttered.

Pages come in your choice of black or white Duplex paper which highlights each image with a fine bevel cut 'key-line' in the opposite colour around each aperture.

Type 2 - Designer Albums

The first 'totally designable album' series ever invented. Designer albums come with 'rounded' library bound spines which allow the leaves to lay flat regardless of where the book is opened or how large the album is. This same binding style prevents lateral movement between pages and eliminates wear and tear of the page surfaces.

Type 3 - Hybrid Albums

Both our Designer and  Matrix album ranges are similar yet different. Each are "hybrid" albums meaning they offer both "mat style" pages (ie images behind apertures) as well as incorporating flush mounted 'panorama' feature pages within the same album. Both can be designed as simple or "feature packed" wedding presentations. Both album styles come in the same sizes and formats.

Panoramas Pages - Singles or Doubles

All of our album styles allow for an impressive "edge to edge" single or double page panorama feature. It's like having a wall portrait in your album.

Gatefold Panels

It is possible to enhance our albums with flip-out "Gatefold" panels.

Both the front and underside of these panels can be designed with flush mounted panoramas, frame pages in the  Designer range of  albums and mat pages for the Matrix range of albums.

Keyhole Pages

Keyhole pages are flip out panels like the Gatefold. These panels can be a single panel, hinging from the outside edge of the page, or they can be double panels that open from the centre of the page.

We can also design an aperture in the panel to your requirements which offers a sneak peak of what lies beneath.

In our Australian Album range we offer a wide selection of traditional and contemorary cover materials and colours.

It is possible to view the colours and materials available at our Northop Studios.
